We are proud to celebrate the accomplishments of Debanhi Rojas Figueroa, a graduating senior from the Department of Political Science at UC Riverside, who has been featured in the University of California’s Class of 2025 spotlight: “Building California’s Brilliant Future”. During her time at UCR, she participated in the department's MSIRA program, the internship program where she worked with Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh in nearby Redlands, and was a research assistant for the Dionne Publicly Engaged Research Lab (DPERL) under Professor Kim Yi Dionne. After graduation, she will be pursuing a Ph.D. student in Political Science with a concentration in Comparative Politics at UC Santa Barbara. She received the Regents Fellowship, the highest fellowship the department offers. We are honored that the UC Office of the President chose to feature one of our own and thrilled to see Debanhi’s story shared on UC’s Instagram and across university channels.
