Second year Phd student Donald Zarate has been presented two awards from the Society for Utopian Studies. The first award was the Nicole LaRose award to travel to the annual meeting in October 2024 to present his paper "Here and Now: Black Perspectives on Anti-Utopianism." The second award was the Kenneth M. Roemer Innovative Course Design Award for his course on "The Faces of Utopia." This course will be made available on their pedagogical materials site, "Teaching Utopia."
